The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been promoting efforts for creating “Next-Generation Energy Parks”
METI, Japan: METI invited local governments and other organizations to submit plans for Next-Generation Energy Parks and received seven applications. Next-Generation Energy Parks are projects authorized by METI based on the submitted plans, aiming at developing public understanding and awareness regarding future energy used in harmony with the global environment by increasing opportunities for the public to have first-hand experience of next-generation energy, including renewable energy.
